WELCOME FROM THE DEAN

 

Education is a lifelong endeavor, from the cradle to the grave.  And college is simply one phase.  In your classes, be prepared not only for new knowledge.  But to have what you thought you knew challenged and overthrown.  As the great sage, Yoda once said, "you must unlearn!"  Keep an open mind and be not afraid of your brains falling out.

Classes form a key part of the college education, but not the only part.  It is up to you to seek the myriad paths of available roles to play, if you have the will to take up the keys to unlock them.

 

Here also is a place to learn what it means to be part of a community.  Woodcrest is a place to find belonging -  a place to engage in the dialectic of finding and expressing yourself, while building up and not tearing down one another.
